Inside the Human Brain!!!

There are three parts to the human brain and they are the reptilian, limbic and neocortex. The three parts do not operate alone they do have various interconnections through which they can influence each other.

The Reptilian Brain is the oldest of the three. It controls the body's vital functions like breathing, heart rate, the body temperature and balance. The main structures found inside a reptile brain are the brainstem and cerebellum. The brain is reliable but can be rigid and complusive.

The Limbic Brain came first in the mammals. The brain is said to be responsible for the emotions in humans, judgements me

make (usually unconsciously). The main stuctures you would find in the brain are hippocampus, amygdala and hypothalamus.

The Neocortex Brain was the 1st that was shown in primates and ended lastly in the human brain with two large cerebral

hemispheres that play big roles. These hemispheres are responsible for development of human language, abstract thoughts, our

imginations and consciousness. The neocortex brain is flexible and has almost infinite learning abilities and has enabled human

cultures to fully develop!!
